At last...

This is where my weekend went--and I planned it to be a blogging weekend, too!

Years ago, a friend, who was going through a semi-monastic, "enlightenment" phase, gave me this advice: "torture yourself with the things you love." For the better part of three days, I did just that. I sorted and matched, fitted and tried. I revisited the Monk in me and was completely, happily OC. It took some doing, but I finally built my castle.

How wonderful when the pieces fit and things fall into place!

Nice! I like puzzles too. My cousins and I used to do this all the time. It kept us busy and also disappointed whenever there's always that one piece of the puzzle missing. Then we'd spent much of our time looking for it, checking every pocket, every corner, and even under our slippers.

With my bad eyesight and short attention span, it might take a year to finish a jigsaw puzzle, hehe. :-D

Amazing. Ganda. Yes, indulge! That is also my philosophy though 'torture' is not my word for it. I'd use satiate or saturate ... para next time pa ang next fit of craving. It also works for food indulgences, you know.

You got patience. :)
The monks have this ritual (I watched this on TV - I cannot remember which monastry, tho.)
During a certain time of the year, a couple of monks make this extremely intricate design with coloured powders. In india it is called "rangoli"

After they create the design, which they so painstakingly made, they destroy it. It signifies the continous change in life...cannot hold on to something all the time. So they make it, put everything you have into, and break it - dont feel bad about it. That's what life is about, they say.
